I just used disco dust for my first time to make a mardi gras mask, and I had to step away to take a break because I just couldn't take it anymore!

IT'S EVERYWHERE!! And I don't mean everywhere, like the counter, floor, in my mouth, etc., I mean it's ALL OVER my mask and I can't get it off!!! I put water where I wanted the disco dust to be (and now that I look back I should have used vodka), and sprinkled it on, but now, it's everywhere on the mask that I DON'T want it to be!

I'm having to use little rolled up pieces of gumpaste to wipe all over the mask to pick up the excess.

Such a nightmare! Is this how this stuff works normally or did I do something wrong?? The mask itself is completely dry, I only put water where I wanted the disco dust to stick....

Any suggestions I can take back with me for round 2??

I don't know what others have done, but disco dust goes everywhere for me - the only way I can get it in specific areas is by mixing vodka with it like you would luster dust and paint it on where I want it.
