I am making a snickers flavored cake. Doing a chocolate layer and a vanilla layer. I was wondering if I could add carmel ice cream topping to the vanilla batter and it would still bake ok? Or if anybody has any better ideas.. ? icon_smile.gif TYIA

I'm not sure. Maybe if you replaced some of the sugar with the caramel topping... How about using the caramel topping for the filling instead?

Here is a google doc for doctored cake recipes. There are a couple of caramel cakes listed.

Not sure if it's a box or scratch cake but what about using Torani or another brand of caramel flavored syrup in the place of some liquid?

What about chopping up some Snickers and adding to your buttercream?
