My DH's uncle is in his late 70's and I need a simple, small cake for him just for family (and a bit to take home). I'm busy with 2 small kids and a new FT job, so it can't be too involved. I've already done a golf and Ukrainian theme in past years. He likes wine (but I've recently done a bottle in a crate too) and travel (though not as much since his wife passed a few years ago). He was a geologist for oil companies for years before he retired. Any ideas would help! icon_smile.gif

Since he's into travel could you do a suitcase with stickers on it? You could just do a sheet cake and cover it in fondant, with suitcase accents and edible image stickers from like Paris, Australia, New York, etc. And the tag on the suit case could say "Happy Birthday Dad" or something like that
