My sister is interested in opening a cupcakery so I told her I would help gather info since I have some spare time.

Oklahoma doesn't allow home kitchens and I was telling her that I had seen threads about renting kitchen space. I was curious to know if anyone rents kitchen space for baking but then sells somewhere else, like a small retail area that they own/rent or do you contract with another business to sell your product?

I was telling her how much it would cost to start up, so I am trying to look at as many possibilities and options. Thanks in advance.

Since you mentioned both scenarios, be sure in your plan to cover both wholesale and retail requirements as they differ in most areas. This will help you decide how to arrange final sale.
