I have been asked to make a cupcake cake, but to use fondant as the cupcake liner. Is there anything special I need to do/know to get the fondant to stick to the sides of the cupcake cake only? Should I wrap it around a little to the top of the cake and then just cover it with icing?

On an episode of Amazing Wedding Cakes, Christopher Garren's made a large cupcake cake and to make the wrapper, they fan-folded a piece of cardboard, then laid the fondant out over it and let it dry long enough to hold the shape before wrapping it around the cake...it was pretty cool!

Oh Cool! Thanks for that idea. I will try that. That sounds exactly what this girl wants. icon_smile.gif
