Does anyone (or Michelle) know how many cakes a batch of MFF will cover? I have these cakes to cover and have made 4 batches. Should I make more? I looked at the Satin Ice site and it show that I should make 13 batches. That seems like a lot.

14" Sq, 12" rnd, 8" sq, 6" rnd, 4" sq
and
12" sq, 12" sq, 10" rnd, 10 rnd"

Hope it's not too confusing.

TIA

Oh - that math thing again icon_lol.gif Using the Satin Ice chart, your 9 cakes appear to need almost 28 pounds if your tiers are 4" tall (I came up with 438 ounces when I used the 6" smallest square listed). I usually get a little over 4 pounds of fondant from one recipe of MFF, so that would be 7 batches. Right?

I always seem to be able to cover more than they say. Maybe I roll my fondant thinner. I have 6 batches made. Maybe I'll make another tomorrow. It's been a long day baked, made 4 batches of fondant, wired the flowers, when to the chiropractor and had the in-laws for dinner. Time for bed.

I'd rather be safe than sorry, one more batch would be good.
