How do you make sand and the Dirt on like a baseball diamond and/or any other kind of dirt for that matter? I've seen forums before but unfortunately I can't find them & didn't write it down. icon_redface.gif

Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA

I use brown sugar for sand, not too sure about dirt.

Graham cracker crumbs, or vanilla wafers whisked in a food processor, for sand. You can mix the crumbs with brown sugar for something a bit more sparkly. You can do chocolate cookies in the food processor for dark dirt.

I usually smooth on a layer of similarly colored buttercream and then sprinkle on the crumbs, to give the crumbs something to stick to.

what about using crushed up cookies? Oreos, vanilla waffers, etc.. depending on what color dirt your going for.

I like using butter-pecan (or a similar coloured) cake that has been grinded up and mixed with some BC as if I were making a cake ball. smooth it on and texturize it.

I use graham crackers with butter cream underneath. And it tastes great! A mess to clean up though, graham cracker crumbs everywhere! But fun to do!
