Do you provide the ribbon or do your clients provide it? How much do you charge? Is it by the spool? Do you charge for making bows or trimming the cake drums? Just curious as to what everyone else does.

Ribbon is very cheap and very easy so I don't charge anything for it. I can provide it or if the bride is picky she can provide it, no diff to me.

If it's a easy to match color like black or white I'll pick it up. But when they are trying to match it to the bridesmaids dress, I ask them to provide it. If it just can't be located I will usually do a fondant ribbon.

I usually provide the ribbon. Once in a while the bride will buy it if she wants a colour I don't have in stock. I don't deduct the cost of the ribbon from the total price of the cake.
