Does anyone know how to make hair for a cat and dog out of modeling chocolate. This is for my husbands 40th birthday. The dog (black lab)is going to be about 3 1/2 in. and a cat (fluffy black/white).

It has to be done by Sunday morning.

Although I have not done it myself, I have read that some people use the tip of smaller scissors and cut lil slices all over and sort of fluff them up. I think this technique is better used on trees and such.

Others I have heard have used a grater (like for zesting fruit) that it roughens up the chocolate for more of a furry look. I think I would try this way first.
