I want to make a chocolate cake with Oreos and buttercream to make cookies and cream filling. I am planning to add crushed Oreos into my buttercream, I was just wondering how far in advance you can make this without the cookies getting soggy.
My experience has been that the cookie pieces get soggy pretty quickly. but nobody seems to care, because it makes a great tasting filling!
i make mine the day before, they are soft when its time to eat it, but it still tastes amazing

I found a recipe on here that uses Oreos and marshmallow fluff. I just used it for my nephew's birthday cake and it was great! I made the cake the night before and there was still some crunch to the cookies the next day.
