Okay, so I do not have an airbrush system. BUT, i have a cake to do that is a big metal washbin/tub. Usually I just use the luster dust/extract method and paint it on. I was wondering if I could purchase the airbrush silver color (i assume its already in liquif form?) and paint THAT on. the luster/extract method seems to get thick fast and can be a little streaky at times as well. Was wondering if anyone has done this before? and if so, any tricks?

I've never done that.

I use Everclear with my dusts and that seems to work really well as far as lack of streaks and not getting thick.

it would break my heart to use it other than airbrush lol....however, I don't see why you couldn't but have no idea if it would streak....get an airbrush...I love mine. Also try vodka to thin dusts and maybe it will help with no streaks I would start with grey fondant too....half way there icon_smile.gif
