I have not done tons of tiered cakes, but someone may be asking me for a tiered cake that looks like it's sitting on multiple smaller cakes, am I making sense? How do you do that?

are you talking about like 4 or so cakes pushed together to make a circle, then stacking cakes on top of that? seems simple enough. make the smaller cakes for the base, use a cardboard to mark where the next tier till sit, dowel to make surdy, then stack like you normally would.
