I am donating a certificate for a cake to a charity silent auction. The certificate will have all of the details (size of the cake, value, expiration date, etc). I'm looking for ideas for the presentation of the certificate, which is usually a gift basket. Just trying to think of something a little more eye-catching. Any ideas? Thanks!

When I did this for a charity event recently, I made a shutterfly photo book for people to look at. icon_smile.gif I was shocked at how high the bids went!

Do you have a cake dummy of that is similar to what you would be offering? That way people can see what they are bidding on?

And for the winner you could so a variety of iced cupcakes to go with the certificate that way would have an idea of cake flavours and icings.

I participated in a silent auction right before Christmas.

What I did was take some pictures of a few cakes that were in the price range of the gift certificate and made a photo collage print. I did it at walmart .com. It was less than a dollar for a 5x7, but they also have larger sizes available.
