Hi! I ve been asked to make a cake with boat for 100 people. I ve never done so big cake or cake with a figure. I think that it will be the best if i make a cake and than put on it a 3 d boat. Cake would be made of several square biscuits joined together.
For 3d boat I dont know what to do... I read that I can do a
-mix of biscuit, fruit, cream etc. to formulate a 3d figure
-or I can do a normal cake and then i cut it to get the desired shape.
In any case i would cover boat with fondant.

What do you think, how can I do a boat?

I also do not know what price to set for so big cake.

I hope that you can understand my english icon_redface.gif

There are several boat/yacht cakes posted here on CC have a look at them and get an idea of how big to make it for 100.I would also use a heavier cake like a spomge or pound cake.HTH
