I'm looking for some good advice to make my first 3 tier topsy turvey cake?

Any ideas I'm not sure why this style of cake intimates me.

Any tricks would be greatly appreciated.

My advice would be to try at least a small two tier for practice before hand. I watched a bunch of tutorials that all made it look so easy. Well, it is harder then it looks for sure!

Also, make sure you have sturdy cake recipe to work with.

Good luck!

hi there! I did my 2 topsy turvey cakes,,and on my 2nd one this weekend,,I messed up, so I had to a do an 2nd attempt on it to get it right. My VERY first one was done in fondant and came out beautiful, yet I can still understand why this cake is intimidating..I"m JUST starting to master it on how to dowel it and all. OK,,so I posted on this, this past weekend and resolved my problem tremendously a 180 degree once I got help!

GO on and put "topsy turvey cakes" in the search box. There is a clipping on how to do topsy turvey that is AWESOME! It helped me master this technique 100%!! It shows her visually step by step on how to do it and the video is like 10 min. long. Watch it and do it while watching will help you a lot!!

Good luck
