Hi All! First post, and I'm so glad I found you icon_smile.gif I've been asked for this cake:

And I've found this stencil:

The problem is, she wants buttercream. I'd feel a lot better if I had this in an impression mat so I could pipe the buttercream on to the sides, instead of having to try and stencil it on to a buttercream finish.

Would anyone know where I could find this in an impression mat, or have experience using these stencils to pipe buttercream on to buttercream? Or even better, know where I might find a pattern similar to this that won't cost me $60. I'll definitely need something...no way I can do all this freehand.

Couldn't you just let your buttercream crust over and then use the stencil as normal?
