I bought sugar diamonds from Global Sugar Art for a cake i have to make this weekend. The cake will be covered in fondant, and the instructions on the diamonds says not to place them on wet icings, so I can't stick them on with butter cream. Has anyone ever done this or have any ideas? Perhaps royal icing?

I got some gems from Fancy Flours and they said to use piping gel to stick them to fondant. Worked well. I don't if piping gel has the same ingredients as gum glue.
