There is no reason why not. I use watered down gel colors when I am out of airbrush colors. They work in a pinch. I will probably try vodka next time, I had never thought of it. But I use vodka with pearl dust, and spray it.
I always use gel colors with vodka. I make it up using some empty flavoring bottles. It helps to make the colors before you need and let them sit awhile that way all the gel dissolves completely and I immediately flush the airbrush when I'm done. I've had no problems.
It would make them the right consistency. As in, airbrush colours are liquid.
Sharon Zambito uses pearl dust and vodka, I am sure, for her lustred bows at least.
if anyone don`t mind me jumping in, i never had an air brush before but my kids got me one for christmas. have`t use one on a cake yet but i was just trying to get the feeling of it,DO they usaly use a lot of color or am i doing someithing wrong?
