I need to replicate the beading detail in this sash for a wedding cake. I'm not sure what to use though. The actual beads are not balls, they are more of a cylinder shape. Any ideas of what I could use?

Here's a link to the sash with the bead work.

I've been googling my heart out trying to find something other than an edible pearl. Do you think a coarse sugar would work? I'm not sure what size the sugar crystals really are. Can you buy that type of sugar at Hobby Lobby?

What about RI painted with luster dust? It almost seems like it would be easier to pipe?

Hmm, that does seem like it could work. I'll practice with that and see if it works. Thank you! icon_smile.gif
