Has anyone tried natural food coloring? What are your thoughts on it? Was the taste compromised? Were you able to get a vibrant color?

I have tried them and the color is a little different. Chefmaster makes some. I have noticed that they have a 6 month shelf life before the color can fade. That is because they are all natural. My advice to you is... when you order them call the distributor and ask for "lot" information. They will be able to tell you if they are still in code or not. I think the last time I got them was from Johnson Brothers in San Antonio, they mailed them to me. I have been seeing more reports every day on how regular colors can effect children with ADD and ADHD. It can't hurt to use this type of product if you are making it for kids with either of these conditions. Better safe than sorry. Good luck!
