Don't work a lot with fondant but want to start trying out some fondant cakes. What kind of edible paint do u use to paint on fondant like with stenciling?

I use gel colors or luster dusts mixed with vodka. The alcohol evaporates and leaves the color behind. I've heard of other people using lemon extract also.

I use a few drops of Almond Extract mixed with Wilton or Americolor, it works great. icon_wink.gif

For stencil work, you can also use royal icing smoothed over the stencils.
