I'm making a cake for a friends birthday, she wants a custard filling, my question is "will the custard filling hold?" I'm afraid it will leak thru the cake. I plan on using a ganache frosting. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. TIA

You'll have to dam your layers with buttercream.

You can always put down a thin layer of buttercream (to seal the layer) and then fill with the custard.

Thanks cheripie, I was gonna use a homemade custard, but after reading your post I think I'm gonna use a commercial custard. I won't be able to refridgerate it because the cake will be too big for my fridge. I appreciate all the great tips, I learn something new every time I visit this site! icon_biggrin.gif Thanks!
