I've been asked to do a cake for 2 ladies who are having a baby shower at work. One is having a boy and the other is having a girl..... What kind of cake would be best? I know I want to do a carved cake, but that's it so far.....TIA

How about something like this:

You can mix up the colours to be more boy/girl friendly if they don't know what they're having. Maybe adding a couple of stuffed teddy bears with a a blue and pink bow(tie).....

Hmmmm the only thing I came up with for carved is maybe one bottom square cake and 2 baby block cakes atop. Do one blue colors and one pink colors???

Or 2 baby onesie cakes????

That's all I got, sorry I'm wicked tired lol

I did one from a Wilton design for boy/girl twins. It might work for you.
(If I had it to do again, the lettering would all be white or green!)

I am doing a joint baby shower on Saturday with a Mod monkey theme. One is having a boy and one just had a baby girl. I am thinking of doing blue, pink and brown polka dots and stripes with a Mod Monkey face up top, one with a bow and one without or maybe just making one monkey. Still working on the design. I figure this covers both sexes and the colors look really cute together too.

Best of luck!
