Hi everyone and Happy New Year!

I am making a two to three tier baby shower cake for my niece who is having a baby girl in May. The baby shower is April. My dilemma is, how do I transport these cakes and its decorations. The cake decorations will be made either chocolate candy melt or gum paste. I am worried about having problem bringing them in the plane because of security check or shipping them out taking the chance of the whole thing being broken. Has anyone have such experience and if so, please give me some kind of hope of how to go about this. I know I could do this there perhaps, however, I would like to have some lead way. Thank you so much for your time and help ladies.

The first thing I would do is check with the airlines. They can give you some guidance.

If possible, I would make the cake on site and not try to fly with it.

They say that the CAKE SAFE will allow you to take a cake on a plane. I saw the add, but I don't own one, so I couldn't say for sure. You might want to go to the website and see? icon_smile.gif
