Not that I know, maybe add a little confectioner's sugar to sweeten it? Not sure that will work. . . You have the Wilton gels? They stink. Get Americolor next time or Chefmate.

I never use colored icing until the last layer or two when covering a cake with buttercream. I frost and put the cake in the refrigerator to harden. Then I layer on additional coats of buttercream...always cooling between layers...until you can't see cake anymore. Then I add my color layer last. This way, you don't have to deal with funky flavor so much...or colored teeth and tongues. I recently did a 3 tier anniversary cake and the background was green. To make it a specific color I had to add a lot of color. It tasted not so good. But when used as a very thin layer, you could not taste it.
Even Wilton's no-taste red has a taste to it when you use a lot, IMO. Good luck!
