I am about to embark on making this cake and the flavours are bottom choco mud middle caramel mud and top carrot. Can anyone suggest what coating I should place on the cakes before adhering the chocolate strips. I am using a mixture of white chocolate and fondant with the choco fondant as the strip. I have had a trial go and the white chocolate is rolled out quite thin so it is not too bulky and don't want to see the cake underneath. Look forward to your suggestions. Thanks

I'd use ganache. White choc for the carrot and either White choc or dark choc for the carameland dark choc for the choc mud.

Exactly what I was thinking, too.

Thank you both for the quick replies. LisaPeps I think the dark choco ganache would show through the white chocolate fondant as it is very thin.
