Howdy! I tried rubbing some shortening over the seams of my fondant ribbon, but you can still see the seams. Does anyone have any tips as to how to join the fondant strips more smoothly? TIA & have a lovely weekend!

Sometimes there's a bit of trial and error. Sometimes the seams will blend well themselves. Sometimes rubbing with shortening works. But sometimes rubbing with ps works.

Alternatively you can use royal icing or use water to let down some fondant and pipe that in the seam and blend.

But always try and put seams at the back!
