I do not Bettercreme available in my area and want to make some shelf stable, non refrigerated fillings for my cakes. I have heard some wonderful combinations from different folks on the board and want to try them. Would the Wilton Whipped topping mix work to make some fillings? The directions say "just add water" so I assume it does not need to be refrigerated? Any help is apprceciated.
According to Wilton, a cake covered (or filled) with their whipped icing mix can be stored for 2-3 days at room temperature. Hope this helps.
