Well I opened Monday and I think things went very well this week. I have only been opened a week and have already had repeat customers. I had so many people tell me they had been waiting for me to open and how excited they were. I also had a bunch of customers take my business flyers to put in their businesses. For the past 2 years working at my house I have had mostly wedding cakes. In my first week I have already gotten 6 or 7 more cake orders. I had 2 b-day cakes for this week. I also got a couple of cake orders for next week and then a few more for Christmas week. I like being in the new shop with all my stuff right there. It was all spread out in my house. I had so many people tell me they loved how it looked and how I decorated everything. Tomorrow in the newspaper they have an "Open and Shut" section and the opening of my business will be in tomorrow's paper. I am going to be closed tomorrow so I plan on taking the left-over cupcakes I had baked today to some of the local businesses in the area. I also have been getting calls for wedding cake consultations. Hopefully things will only get better. I also had a few people ask if I was hiring or taking interns. Not right now but hopefully I will get busy enough to hire someone. Just wanted to give an update!
