I'm almost ready to assemble my first tiered cake for a big party this week.....exciting! I have read many times that I must take a first aid kit in case something damages the cake, so that I may repair it at the venue. What sort of things should be in there?

This is a really good question. icon_smile.gif

If I take anything, I normally take some extra BC in the colors I used on the cake.

I also take any extra flowers or figure doubles I made just in case an important piece breaks.

Extra flowers are also good just in case the cake suffers any abuse, and the "bruises" need to be hidden. lol.

Yesterday, we had my DD's birthday party, and my MIL laughed at me, b/c I pulled a ziploc bag with my piping bag inside out of my purse to attach some toys to the cake. icon_lol.gif lol. She said now she knows I'm a dedicated caker!

But I'm interested in what more seasoned cakers have on their list. icon_biggrin.gif
