So my question to all you cake decorators is how much do most of you charge your clients? I know it depends on the piece you are designing but do you guys have a hourly charge or an over all price. If ind myself eating money on these things because of the time that goes into them but I don't wanna over price them because then no one will ever want one? I would e curious how long it take some of you to do them? Thanks a ton!!

i price out my costs (all of them!).
then i figure out how long it will take. for a basic cake i have an idea how long that takes, with experience you get better at guessing how long stuff will take. times my hourly rate.
equals finished price.

making a fair hourly rate isnt over pricing, it just means targeting your self at people who have plenty money!
