Just wondering if anyone does this using food coloring? I have white stamens and need black on short notice. No stores around me carry black so I was wondering if I could dye them myself? Any tips?

Yes I dyed the stamens with a non toxic black marker. The anemone in my pics are what I used them for, this flower was made of gumpaste so wasn't going to be consumed at all.

Aha, didn't think of that, good idea. I wonder if it would work with the food coloring pens. I was thinking of maybe dipping them in a bath of black gel color and vinegar to see if that would work. Hmm I'll try both and let you know.

I don't see why it wouldn't work!
