Hi all

I'm new on here and I've been asked to do a cake in the shape of a Garda (police) hat.

I'm planning to make a round chocolate biscuit cake, with a sponge cake on top, covered in blue fondant, and need to make a peak for the front. Would modelling chocolate be best to use? I think gumpaste would just break on me.

Thanks for your help icon_smile.gif

I'm not sure what a Garda hat looks like but I would use scraps of cake to build the peak, or, carve away cake to achieve the peak. I did a state trooper hat before -- check the gallery pictures for police/military. good luck
