Hi!
I am looking for a great Red Velvet recipe. I have never made Red velvet before so some pointers or some suggested recipes would be greatly appreciated.
Also if there is a link that has been discussed on the topic would be ok too.
Thankyou.

Paula Deens cupcakes are the BEST. You can find them on her website:

http://www.pauladeen.com/index.php/recipes/view2/red_velvet_cupcakes_with_cream_cheese_frosting/

The recipe reads 1/2 c. oil, but it used to read 1 1/2 c. oil before it was edited. I have tried both. One was really greasy, the other wasn't very good. I went right in the middle, and did 1 c. oil. I know that is still a lot, but it was perfect for me. Can't we all agree cake and cupcakes are calorie/fat/carb free right?

My other favorite Red Velvet CAKE recipe is Bobby Flay

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/bobby-flay/red-velvet-cake-recipe/index.html

This is the recipe that he won using on the 'Throw Down' show. He does give his icing recipe, but on the show he mentioned he wished he did cream cheese.

Hi Sweetheart,
Thank you so much for your response!
I am so curious to try.
I cannot believe how popular this flavour is in the states! Here in Australia it is hardly heard of and only really known amongst fellow bakers.
Thanks again!
Have a great day!
