Hello!

I am making a dozen baseball cupcakes - and going to use fondant circles(baseballs) to go ontop of the icing swirls. I need to make the stitches on each baseball topper - I have never used royal icing before - but I do have the red fondant markers...

Can I use red icing instead of royal icing? If not any tips on the royal icing...
should the fondant topper be dry before applying any icing?

TIA!

Yes, you can use red icing or the edible markers.

If you use markers, wait for the fondant to set up a bit to prevent drag.
