HELP!

I just barely made it thru a gumpaste magnolia disaster!!!! I had to use a hot glue gun... I know shame on me!!! But the wedding is tonight. Basically, my wired petals were breaking and coming out of the gumpaste at the wire. I couldn't get them to stand up w/o breaking. How do you get those petals to stand up so you can shape them and wrap floral tape. I have made flowers with much success before...... maybe I need a real tutorial or class. I have just tried to figure it out as I go along.

your wires were breaking through the petals? Did you use the groove board to make the grooves to insert the wires in?

If the wires were breaking through, try a thinner wire and a tad thicker gumpaste. HTH
