I'm providing a cake for a fundraiser for an orphanage in Haiti and have NOOOO idea what to make! I'm going to make a 3 tier cake as it has to feed 100 people, but would love imput on what how I should decorate it!

I was thinking of having the Haiti flag somewhere on it, maybe a map? or a paiting of the scenery and the word "HOPE"

Any other ideas would be super helpful.

Since your raising funds for an orphanage, what about childrens hands entwined or cutouts of children holding hands, circling one of the tiers? You could maybe incorporate the flag of Haiti in with the children like you mention or maybe make the flag as a topper?
I think your idea of the shape of Haiti from the world map is great too.

Heres a link to a cake made for another funraiser for Haiti with clasped hands. Might give you some more idea's.

I'm adding another link to the mud cakes most of the poor in Haiti make and eat in order to survive. Maybe you could use some of this, print it out & display it for the folks who'll be bidding on your cake, to see and read about.. Every little bit helps, lots of people only know a certain amount of whats happening in Haiti. The more they know, the more they might donate. thumbs_up.gif

Good luck! I hope your fundraiser is a huge success!
