I need to do a cake for a funeral! A little background on the deceased: He was a devout catholic and big in the Knights of Columbus. I am looking for a verse that I can print on the cake, as well as Ideas for a sheet cake. TIA!

Thats a tough one, never done a decorated cake for a funeral before (I've done desserts, but nothing decorated). I would maybe do a small replica of the KofC crest with some white roses. For verses maybe search the web for catholic prayers for the deceased and choose a few lines, of a psalm.

You could do a cross on top of the sheetcake with a verse written down and across the cross, with roses surrounding or draping the cross. And maybe put the crest in the lower corner.

Psalms 91 this is verse 1 and 2 . Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.

then put a cross and an american flag or something.
