Any suggestions on recipes for cake pops? I've made them with the cake mix and 1/2 tub of frosting. They are adorable, but to sweet. Everyone loves the look, but never ask for the recipe. I love the idea just need something that taste as yummy as it looks.

I make them using a box cake mix but I add homemade buttercream or cream cheese frosting not canned frosting. I also only use about 1/4 C of frosting not the entire can like many recipes call for.

I feel the same way. Very cute, but lacking that special 'somethin' as far as taste. I'll be watching your post for replies!
