Hi probably a dumb question. I have a friend who has ordered Mini cakes from me. They are going to be petit four sized, but they are not going to be traditional petit fours. They will just be layered pound cake with butter cream frosting between the layers.
My question is this, she wants to know if the outside of the cake can be frosted with butter cream prior to pouring the poured fondant on it. I have a feeling that the butter cream would run off. I've never tried it
Anyone know?
