on average, how many people feed? Also, how do you go about pricing one? What do you ladies charge? I got a request and I know I could do it but I dont know how many people it feeds or a appropiate price since I've never done one before. Thanks

I've only done the coach type that I cut up a 9x13 into three layers and did the purse. It serves between 12-15 and I charged 50.00 That's my area here in Ohio I'm sure elsewhere you can get more. Remember when you stack if you do a thinner purse you have to cardboard and dowel every two layers.

I always had the customer tell me how many servings they wanted, then I built the cake (purse) from there - up to 30 servings. I also charged $4.50/serving for all 3D cakes.

I always figure out the measurements I want the cake at and then I divide that by 1" on one side and 2" on the other side...if it's more than four inches high then you have another cake on top... does that make sense?
