I am trying to find a good recipe for a cake that I can cut and have it stay intact after having cut and sculpt it. Would a store mix work or homemade of a certain type? thanks for any help

My Wilton instructor told me she uses the box mix, Duncan H and she adds a block , or 8 oz. of cream cheese to make the cake batter denser. Hope this helps.
