Good afternoon!

I got a request for a Plex (from Yo Gabba Gabba) cake. The client wanted a Chinese sponge cake. It's usually covered with whipped cream icing. I told her I cannot do it because the cake and icing is too delicate to be covered in fondant and fondant decorations. But I feel bad not being about to give her what she wants.

Does anyone have know if this is actually possible? I would love to provide her with what she wants.

I've frosted a cake in IMBC before applying fondant before. It has a lightness to it like whipped cream IMO.
