Hi all, I was wondering how many use the cake rings and if you do where do you get them. I was watching Amazing Wedding cakes and saw them using the very tall ones. I found some but the tallest they were was 2 and 3 inches tall. Thanks for looking and hopefully answering.

If you google "cake rings" you will find several sources listed. I do mostly sculpted cakes so that I have only used one once. I found it to be much easier to get a "perfect" round shape with it. The only problem is that you can only purchase them in set heights. So if you are try to do a custom height, it may be a bit of a challenge. Note: Make certain that you line the ring with acetate before starting to build your cake. HTH
