I have been wanting to start practicing and working with modeling chocolate sculpting different things. I have no clue as to where I can find modeling chocolate. Could I use fondant too? And what are some easy things I could start out practicing making? Thanks

It's waaaaayyy cheaper to make modelling chocolate yourself. Just need some candy melts that you can get at Michael's or your local hobby store and some corn syrup. There's an easy recipe on this site if you search modelling chocolate.

Yes, you can use fondant too. If you want to do something that really needs to be strong or if it is more delicate then you would add tylose to your fondant - it makes it dry faster and harder. You can use regular fondant to do a lot of things though, even without tylose.

I would start out trying to make simple animals and simple flowers, then work your way up to more complicated stuff icon_smile.gif
