I have a cricut cake and I am trying to cut marshmallow fondant, but it doesn't seem to work well. It tears rather than cuts. Anyone else tried this and gotten it to work? Or does anyone have any ideas what I might need to do differently, slower/faster speed, higher/lower pressure, fondant too dry/tacky? Not sure!!!

Try adding tylose...this may help and roll very thin...the thinner the better. (paper thin)
When laying fondant/tylose on mat do not use alot of shortening to adhere it as this will make it want to slide all over the mat.

I use it all the time. Just make sure that after you roll it out on the mat, stick it in the freezer for about 10 minutes or so. Immediately after you pull from the freezer, make your cuts. I then put it back in the freezer before removing the cuts from the mat and that makes it so they don't stretch.

Thanks for the help ladies! I will definitely try some of this next time. I did try adding gumpaste to the fondant and that helped some. thumbs_up.gif
