Hello everyone,

Can I apply the edible image the night before the event? I have never placed an image on a fondant cake before!

Any suggestions?

Yes, you can apply it the night before. You'll probably want to put a border around it because the edges will never disappear.

Just brush your cake lightly with water, then apply the image. I like to use a damp paper towel to wet the surface.

This is all assuming you're not going to refrigerate the cake. I don't know what might happen if it's refrigerated.

Hi,
Another way to do it would be to put your edible image on a fondant plaque. Just cut a piece of fondant to the shape and size you need, dampen with a touch of water so it's just tacky, then lay the edible image on top. It can be applied directly on the cake or let dry so it hardens, then apply to cake.
