Recipe 4 life (or one of those recipe sites) sent me a link to Halloween treats. One of them was Chocolate covered Bacon! Why on earth would change anything about Bacon? It's the best breakfast food out there!
Don't get me wrong I love Chocolate, but on Bacon...?
Just had to post this because it is so funny.

Bacon is very trendy now. In my area we may be nearing the tipping point. Baconaise, bacon flavored mayo, was created here, LOTS of bacon salt - yum- and plenty of bacon topped cupcakes (maple syrup buttercream topped with a piece of bacon) and, of course, chocolate covered bacon.
Chocolate covered bacon is DELICIOUS!!!
It's best made with the thick cut, country bacon.
I felt the same way you did when I went to a chocolate expo at the Great Lakes Science Center. Every course of the meal included chocolate. I looked at the long, thick strips of bacon, 2/3 covered in chocolate, and thought, "Yeah, right. That HAS to be gross." Then, I tried it....and promptly went back for seconds.

I hosted a book club awhile back and we read a book called
The Sweet Potato Queens' Big-Ass Cookbook (it has cute stories in it besides just recipes)
We each picked a recipe and made it for the bookclub.
Someone made "Pig Candy"
Coat uncooked bacon in some dark brown sugar and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
It was yummy!
I saw a show on the food network not too long ago when they made a bunch of recipes with chocolate and covering bacon was one of them.
So delicious. We make a cake with layers of crushed pretzels, caramel and chopped applewood smoked bacon in ganache as a filling. Covered with ganache, it's pretty much amazing. I get tired of it, being around it, but it's amazing nonetheless.
Well I guess I could try it but I'm not a sweet and salty together fan. Except Brown sugar on Ham. (tastes great when cooked in a crock pot!)
I'll trust you guys on your opinion though!
