Can my fondant/gumpaste figures go in the fridge? It would only be for a couple hours. Delivering a cake early to a party.

Is your cake covered in fondant? I always thought that you weren't supposed to fridge fondant covered cakes because then they sweat. If for some reason you have to refridgerate the cake I don't think it will kill the fondant/gumpaste figures...

I tend to not put the figures or toppers on until the last possible second so maybe if you can just put them on the cake to make the holes of where they are supposed to go, then take them off and tell the person how to reattach...if they are easy to do.
