I want to make Antonia74 Royal Icing. It calls for 1 kilogram (2.25 lbs.) of powdered sugar. I can only get 2 lb. bags of powdered sugar. Does anyone know how many cups of powdered sugar there are in 1 kilogram?

Thanks in advance.

i don't know the weight measurement, but the 2lb bags i use when i look at the nutrition label it tells me the serving size. by using this i can do the math to find out that there are 7 cups in a 2lb bag. So there are 3-1/2 cups in 1lb. So break that down even further and there are .875 cups in the .25lbs of ps (approximately)

I just use the 2lb bag and never have any issues, i always have to thin it down anyways to decorate cookies (not sure what you're using it for) and never had an issue not using that extra .25lb of ps.
